Wow. Vietnam

Yesterday I had 30 people from Vietnam come to read my blog. Fantastic. I can't travel the world but the world has come to me. I'm very flattered.

The Horrible Disease of HATE

  The metaphor for wearing Rose Colored Glasses means that you look 
at life through a positive attitude. But many people tend to look at life through a dark pair of sunglasses. In this case, just like in real life, sunglasses are meant to keep out any light.




When you hate, you end up living such a dark life that you can't love anyone. Not even yourself.

Which way do you want to live your life?

This Bible verse, and living it out, is what makes Christianity different than all other religions. Different. Not easy!

Look Out! Laura-Lee is Bible Journaling

I just got a Promise Bible a couple weeks ago. It is my first "Journalling Bible". I'm split inside about whether coloring in the Bible is a good or bad thing. I've been writing margin notes and doodling in my Bibles for literally decades. But this new Bible journalling phase has put a big " I don't know" in my mind. But in this case I didn't think I should knock it until I tried it.
So I've made a tentative start in my Promise Bible and when I've summed up my thoughts better I will let you know what I think.

I made and uploaded an Intro video about this on my YouTube channel.

And I can't help but admit that many Bible journals are very beautiful. Have a look.

They ARE extremely lovely but some of them have such a huge amount of artwork that it is impossible to actually read the words (Word). And isn't that the point of having a Bible (or any book)? To read it?

Whew! What a Massive Bible

If you've ever owed or even seen a Bible you know that it is usually a large book. A very large book.
It has to be, because it is filled with God's promises to you. Not one of them did he have to make but He did it because He loves you.
And God NEVER breaks a promise.
Maybe you should read it and discover what those promises for you are.

Time to take a day off. And the wonderful thing is that God actually commands us to take a day of rest. So I have included a couple of pictures about God's care and love for us. Plus I've also added a few interesting coloring pages so that you have something to help you relax and be creative at the same time.

Scammed Again

 I can't believe it! They tried it again! People are becoming so brazen!


It was just a couple weeks ago that I received a phone call early in the morning saying they were from Visa security and that there were some unauthorized purchases made on my card.
Well this morning I got the exact same phone call. It started with the automated voice asking me if I wanted to speak to a representative. Boy, did I want to speak to a representative!
He said to me the exact same words used last time. You think that if they were going to phone the same people they would at least think of something different to say. I have to admit they are doing a very good job of it. They sound very legitimate and they actually get you in the frame of mind that they are there to help you. All you have to do is tell them your Visa number.
When I got on the line with the representative I was happy to remind him about the phone call I received from him two weeks ago and how he immediately hung up on me when I refused to give my Visa number. The next sound I heard was nothing.

If they phone me again next time I'm going to have some fun with them. I am going to tell them that I'm so glad they found me because I'm afraid that this unauthorized Visa activity might affect my purchase of all that expensive equipment that allows me to trace phone calls and emails.

Or it might interfere with my purchase of those three handguns I just bought. And the only activity I've known on eBay is not me purchasing anything but trying to sell things. I have a lot of World War II Nazi guns and metals that my father got while he was a Nazi. I haven't been able to sell any of them yet but I've made a lot of new and interesting eBay Buddy's.

Let's see if they hang up on that.
Now I think I will insert my maniacal laugh. Muah ha ha ha ha 

But I hope this will help you at least. According to my caller display they come somewhere from Florida. But who knows, there are crooked criminals everywhere. So once again I remind you to give out no no no information over the phone or to anyone you don't know!

It's a wonderful Christian Life angel of Nanjing

If you wonder if you are too ordinary for your life to make a difference then you need to read this blog. I have started a new series to encourage people who think that their life has not made a difference.

The video you are about to see is about a man from China named mr. Chen. They have just made a documentary about him called the angel of Nanjing. What is so remarkable about this ordinary Chinese man is that he patrols the Nanjing Bridge in China in order to keep people from jumping off it and committing suicide.
He has patrolled this bridge on his scooter for 13 years. If he can make a difference so can you.

It's a wonderful Christian Life you can make a difference

People have often heard me say that I am a very ordinary person who serves an extra ordinary God. I have felt led to do a series of blogs to encourage other Christians who feel very ordinary and wonder if the life they have lived for Jesus has made a difference.

after 41 years of being a servant Jesus I sometimes feel that my life should have been more fruitful for the
Kingdom. But lately Jesus seems to be encouraging me that my life may have made a bigger impact then I ever knew. I suppose I will find out when it's my turn to go home to Heaven.


I can't help but think of the story of Stephen in the Bible. His final words about Jesus just before he was stoned to death by the religious leaders fell on the ears of a young man named Saul who was from a town called Tarsus. It said that Saul was not only in agreement with the stoning of Stephen but was actually holding the coats of those who were hurling the stones. Stephen didn't know at the time the seeds of faith that we're being planted in the life of that young man witnessing  his murder. Saul later had his own meeting with Jesus. And he from that moment on became the Apostle Paul. Not only did he write a large portion of the New Testament in the Bible but he brought the news of Jesus Christ to all the Gentiles. To this day I would not be a Christian if it wasn't that Paul obeyed Jesus and followed him. And I suppose Paul never knew during his lifetime on Earth the massive amount of impact his life would have.

So now it is my turn to encourage you. You may feel that you are ordinary that you are small that you are humble and you have no special talents or abilities to offer. But I promise you that anything you do for Jesus will have a massive return. Even if you don't discover the results until you go to your home and meet Jesus face-to-face.

Misconception about the Immaculate Conception

The Immaculate Conception does not refer to the Virgin birth. Nor does it refer to Jesus. According to the Catholic Church the Immaculate Conception is another name they give to Mary who is Jesus' mother.

They believe that Mary was conceived without a sinful Human Nature. She had to be in order to be able to carry the sinless son of God. Therefore the Catholic Church gave her the name of the Immaculate Conception. It is a common misunderstanding that even many Catholics are not aware of.

For easy reference go and watch the film called " the song of Bernadette". It stars Jennifer Jones and was made in the 1940s I believe. It is based on the true story of a young girl  named Bernadette who apparently saw many visions of Mary.

If you don't believe me go and do the research. And by the way, I was born a Catholic but I no longer believe that Mary had a sinless human nature. It just doesn't make sense. If she was sinless then didn't her mother have to be sinless in order to give birth to a sinless Mary.? And if her mother's mother was also sinless then her mother would have to be sinless as well. And back generation after generation. And none of this is in the Bible!

Therefore I have come to believe that there was only one sinless human being on this Earth. And that was Jesus Christ who gave his innocent and sinless life on the cross in order to be the sacrifice for the sins of the rest of us. Especially and including a very sinful me.
