Laura-Lee Was Here

Good Bye For Now (Again)

My dear friends, once again hard times have hit and it looks like I won’t be on the Internet anymore. At least for a while. But this has happened to me before, so this has a familiar ring.

Last time I had the attitude, “If God wants me back on the Internet, He will make a way.”

I asked Him only for an opportunity to say “Good-Bye” so that my friends didn’t think I had just suddenly dumped them and had stopped responding to them.

That is the same situation I find myself in now.

And since God has given me a short “grace period” to send out some “Farewells”, I wish to send them here, to all of you who have faithfully visited my blogs.

I have tried to put my heart and mind on to this blog. Not so that I can say, “Laura-Lee Was Here” as the title leads you to believe, but so that you know “Laura-Lee Was Here … for a purpose.”

That purpose is found in 2 Corinthians 5:20.

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

There is my purpose and my reason. I must admit that once Mom died, I knew that Jesus had new plans for me and might start me on a very different journey (although I don’t know what it will be).

But there are almost 200 posts here and in each one you will find a taste of who Jesus is. I have followed Jesus since I was 11 years old and have tried to live the same mandate as John the Baptist:

“I am the voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’ …

‘I have seen and I testify that [Jesus] is the Son of God.’”
John 1:23, 34

Wherever your path leads, please don’t walk it alone. I can do nothing for you, but Jesus stands at the door of your heart knocking. He is right where you are now and all you need to do is let him in. If you even consider this, then all the hours I’ve spent pouring my life’s events into this blog was not in vain.

I will continue to pray for each person who clicks to these pages (as I have always done).

And, as I also say to those who have blessed my home by a visit:

“Thank you for coming. It was so good to have you.”

Love Always, Laura-Lee

P.S. Keep in mind that several widgets, downloads, etc. on this blog might not work without my continuing presence on the Internet. But hopefully my writing will linger and that’s always been my best (and favourite) way of communicating.
