Are Jews and Christians Purposely Hastening End Times Events?

Psychology Today is NOT a Christian magazine, so it is fascinating to read this viewpoint on Christians and Jews who believe current events signify the "End Times". He says we are not a fringe element and should be taken seriously because there are SO many of us that it affects everything. Including elections. He also believes that because we believe Jesus will return, or for Jews that Messiah will come for the first time, we (Jews and Christians) will do whatever it takes to "hasten" the horrific prophetic events of the Books of Daniel and Revelation.

Perhaps we are purposely spreading  COVID-19? Which more than one person has suggested. 

Do I smell a scapegoat in the making? A "legitimate" reason for the persecution of Christians and Jews in the offing?
