Particularly, since the War in Gaza against HAMAS began, Jews and Christians have been standing united, and mixing and mingling like never before in modern history. We are trying to be polite and not offend each other by dancing around the main subject that divides us. Jesus.
So I will continue to be diplomatic and tactful and approach this topic as gently and politely as I can.
NOT ❗️
Nope. I'm going to do my usual thing and rip that band aid off, in one swift movement. (Let's hope it's not covering a place that has a lot of hair.)

The War in Israel has been a great catalyst throughout the world that exposes men's hearts. Within the Christian Church the people who have been just bubbling beneath the surface, have risen to the top yet again to justify their hatred of the Jewish people by proclaiming them “Christ Killers”, which has also been used throughout history to justify horrible persecution, torture and death perpetrated upon the Jewish people .
Now let us look directly at the plot to kill Jesus, recorded in the book of John, chapter 11 because it is NOT what it appears to be on the surface.
“Then the chief priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin.“What are we accomplishing?” they asked. “Here is this man [Jesus] performing many signs. If we let him go on like this, everyone will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our temple and our nation.”
Then one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, spoke up, ‘You know nothing at all! You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish.’ He did not say this on his own, but as high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the Jewish nation, and not only for that nation but also for the scattered children of God [Jew AND Gentile], to bring them together and make them one. So from that day on they plotted to take his life”.
John 11
While Jesus was being Judged in the court of the Roman Governor at the time, Pontius Pilate, (because the Jews were not allowed to sentence a person to death without Rome's okay) the mob that was gathered yelled
“His blood is on us and on our children!”
Matthew 25:27
And THIS is the misunderstood Crux of dissension between Jew and GENTILE (non-Jewish person) ever since.
Many people consider this a great CURSE against the Jewish people when, in fact, it is their greatest BLESSING. But not just to them but the rest of us as well, which is something every true Christian well knows. Let me explain. ☝️
Throughout the entire Old Testament, (the events that occurred BEFORE Jesus was born), we see the creation and rise of the chosen people of God, the Hebrews, and their hardships as they claim the land God PROMISED to their fore father, Abram, later to be renamed Abraham, by God.
But we also see there something else. Blood sacrifices to atone for sins is discussed and represented time and time again.
Once we get to Jesus's time period, the Jewish people have the Temple in Jerusalem in full use with people from all over Israel bringing animals to be sacrificed for their sins. I imagine there must have been rivers of blood running during Passover week in Jerusalem.
However, even with ALL that blood, it only washed away sin for ONE year and only made ONE man, the High Priest, clean enough to enter into God's Holy Presence where He dwelt in the Holiest of Holies behind a thick veil (actually a huge thick curtain). If anyone was NOT properly washed by the blood and ritual cleansing entered into God's Presence, they would die.
But God sought a way to get beyond the confines of sacrifices that were limited and to be able to come to have interaction with ALL His people, not just one designated person who was allowed behind the curtain just once a year.
But to have a sacrifice enough to last forever and cover ALL the sins of EVERY person, a PERFECT sacrifice was needed. And since God alone is perfect, He was the One who must provide the ultimate sacrifice to pay the entire Debt of Sin. So God SENT His only Son, Jesus, to be that one time, ultimate sacrifice.
This is foreshadowed by Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his beloved, ONLY son, Isaac, in obedience to God's will
Jesus said,
“No one takes [my life] from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”
John 10:18
EVERY human being should desire to be covered in the blood of Jesus. He is called, “The Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world" by John the Baptist.
It is a historical fact that when Jesus died on that fateful day, approximately 2000 years ago, just outside of Jerusalem, there was a great earthquake and the veil in the Temple that covered the Holiest of Holies was torn from top to bottom.
But the Jewish people were not aware of its significance and replaced it and carried on as usual, until the entire Temple was destroyed in 70 AD. All that is now left is a small portion of the Western or Wailing Wall.
I am asking Jew, Christian, and people with no faith at all, to consider this death of Jesus, not as something to be shunned and avoided, but to be embraced as an ultimate atonement for ALL our sins and to never again try to shut God up behind a thick veil, in a small room, available to only one man, but available to EVERY person.
And let the thing that has divided Jew and non-Jew for all these Centuries, at last be the thing that brings us ultimate unity, the atoning death of Jesus Christ sacrificed on the cross for our sins.
I personally have said as a prayer for me and those I love,
Let “His blood be on us and on our children!”
