The Australian Christian Lobby, first under Lyle Shelton (who now heads his “Family First" political party) followed by Martyn Iles as the Managing Director for 5 years, aligned itself with Politicians who were hardcore Feminists. to combat Transwomen competing in women's sports (ie. Lia Thomas) Aboriginal organizations in the Northern Territory to combat Euthanasia and with many other non-Christian organizations and Politicians in order to aid them in their fight for Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, ProLife issues and their anti LGBTQ+ stance,
However, ☝️ in ALL that time, they never aligned themselves publicly with any Jewish Organization. You'd think that would be the FIRST group of people they would seek outside of Christian confines because we all share a common Judeo-Christian heritage and similar beliefs across the board on all those issues.
During these two years since the October 7th atrocities against Israel and all the pro Palestinian mob violence in the main cities in Australia, I've been waiting for a CLEAR, definitive. public declaration in favor of Israel from Lyle, Martyn, Jim Wallace (head of the Australian Christian Lobby behind closed doors) or Michelle Pearse, the ACL's current CEO, but none has been forthcoming.
Now I have just watched a sermon by Martyn Iles at the Greek Evangelical Free Church in Australia, given on October 5th (just 2 days before the anniversary of the October 7th atrocities) where he said,

If all the permission structures were there and the world would support it, I think Benjamin Netanyahu would very much like to conquer GAZA. Why? So he could have a decisive influence over its affairs into the future."

I've been following the Australian Christian Lobby since 2021 and have watched ALL their talks, sermons, “The Truth of It” Vlogs, Campaigns, cases done through the Human Rights Law Alliance (its sister organization, co-founded by Martyn Iles), as well as watched previous talks given by all members before 2021 (during its days under the leadership of Lyle Shelton) with growing uneasiness for what I have perceived as subtle antisemitism and a gross lack of support for Israel.
This is a stark contrast to the huge support I see for Israel in the Evangelical community throughout North America (I'm Canadian).
Now that I have pulled all the threads together over multiple years, I believe we are seeing growing antisemitism amongst the members of the white church in Australia, lived out covertly through a “Gentlemen's Agreement”.
What is a “Gentlemen's Agreement”?
“Gentlemen's Agreement” started out as a book and then became.a movie in 1947 (winning multiple Academy Awards, including Best Picture), starring Gregory Peck, Dorothy McGuire, Celeste Holm and David Garfield,
where a writer for a magazine goes undercover as a Jewish person for 6 months to see if antisemitism exists in America.
It seems there are a LOT of “Gentlemen” making Agreements in Australia too.
Staying silent and complacent while Jewish People are harassed and intimidated in the Public Squares you say you are called to speak "Truth" in, counts as antisemitism, or at the very least moral cowardice.
Why don't you spend LESS of people's donations on long lunches to "schmooze with the pollies" and more time just simply following Jesus?
