Screen Door Discipline

"Come on, Laura. Let's go explore!"

"Okay. Right behind you. Bye, Mom! I'm going exploring with Tim."

"Okay, Dear. Just don't slam the [SLAM] ... door."

"Laura-Lee come back here!"

"I can't. Tim's waiting. We're going exploring!"

"Laura-Lee, come back here."

"Yes, Mom?"

"You know you're not supposed to slam the door."

"Yes, Mom. I just forgot."

"Hmm. You forgot. Well, I want you to open and shut the screen door ten times gently to help you remember for next time."

"But I can't. Tim is waiting."

"Your brother will wait. Do as I say."

"Yes, Mom."

"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten."

"I'm done, Mom! Bye!"

"Laura-Lee come here again."

"But, but, Tim is ..."

"Laura-Lee!"

"Yes, Mom?"

"Here are some cookies for you and your brother. Exploring can be hungry work. Now off you go and don't forget to take the dogs along too."

(Smooch)

"Thank you, Mom."

"Wait for me! I'm coming!"

It's okay to submit to discipline depending on whom you are submitting to.

Speaking (and remembering) the truth with love,

Always, Laura-Lee

"The Lord disciplines those he loves,

"No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it."  (Hebrews 12:11)

Off Again ... ON Again: I Survive "The Great Disconnect"

Hello, my friends.

I'm back online after being off for almost a month.

Telus cut me off because I gradually fell behind a little each month throughout the year due to all my extra COVID-19 costs. But they still charged me the FULL amount for the month PLUS extra late fees, even though they gave me NOTHING.

 Oooo. That's harsh.

(I think that deserves not just a Yikes, but a double Yikes!)

It makes it rather hard to endure how they ramble on about all their "charitable giving" and "Free services" when they wouldn't even extend me the extra time to take care of the bill.

But that's over with and I'm back now and not only did God make a way for my bill to be paid but has even bestowed on me some extra work to do on the Internet which I am very "jazzed" about.

I will start to answer your messages individually, which I am really looking forward to. I've had extra time to rest, wind down, listen, and learn from the Lord and pray for you very specifically.

I see Biden is the new US President and life has gotten even more lawless and chaotic. Fortunately, God hasn't changed no matter how much the rest of the World has. And there is nothing more helpful to notice changes than by being away for a while.

I've noticed that several organizations, independent news sources, and ministries have been removed from FB & Twitter while I was away so I would encourage you (again) to go to your favorite websites and sign up for their newsletters if you want to continue getting, well ... news and letters from them. And remember you can sign up at my various blogs for Follow by Email (found in the right column).

I just got reconnected again yesterday afternoon and have lots to do, but I'm very good at rolling up my sleeves and getting to it. I'm pleased to see I still had visitors here at my blogs too while I was away. I do very much appreciate both your faithfulness and prayers during this season of quiet time for me. You are such wonderful and awesome people.

I hope you had good Christmases and were able to share at least part of them in some way with those you love the deepest and most intimately.

I'll talk to you soon.

Love Laura-Lee
