Praise from the Pit

 

I was at Apple this morning and listening to   "All Creatures of Our God and King" by 4Him and decided to search out a REALLY OLD  classic (from the 1970s 😲😄😉) called  "Praise the Lord" by Chris Christian. That song holds a special place in my heart and memory. 

Mom and I were in her green Ford station wagon traveling down Broadway in Vancouver (BC, Canada 🇨🇦) in 1980 after just having a brush with serial killer Clifford Oleson (AKA. The Beast of British Columbia) and we were considerably shaken and more than a little "creeped out". I turned to Mom and whispered, "Mom, I feel afraid". She responded, "Me too, Laura-Lee. (pause) Let’s sing and praise the Lord."

So we sang "Praise the Lord" together.

I asked Mom, "What does it mean, 'Our God inhabits praise'? Praise is an action. Something we do. That makes it a verb. How can God live in a verb?"

"I don't know. (pause) But I suppose we will find out someday."

The beautiful irony is that at the exact moment I was asking the question God was demonstrating the answer. His Presence was tangible in that car and our fears melted away.

Through these many years with Jesus, time and time again I have felt the tangible presence of Jesus when I praised Him in the pits of life. Pits of suffering. Pits of grief. Pits of despair and loneliness and the one I am the most familiar with, the pit of FEAR!

Just like Paul and Silas praised Jesus after being beaten and thrown into a Roman jail (for the crime of telling people about Jesus) and experienced miracles, wonder-Full things await those who praise the Lord from the Pits.🥹

Christians Fight Like PRAYING Serpents and Doves

 

"ProLifers live in this apartment. I wonder if there is some way to take their dog and make like it bit someone?"

Now this had nothing to do with me. I don't have a dog (just my cat, MONTY), but maybe it will give you an idea of the type of opposition we Christians are facing for our beliefs. They hate us, they don't care about the truth nor will they fight fairly. 

The Bible tells us,

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand." 

(Ephesians 6:12-13)

I completely believe this. The spiritual realm is where the crux of our battles are fought but not the only place.

Thousands of the sick, poor, disabled, Seniors and unborn babies are murdered at the hands of doctors every year all in the name of "Healthcare" and paid for in Canada by our Federal and Provincial Governments.

Not to mention children as young as nine and ten years old are given Puberty Blockers that will sterilize them for life and ushered into surgery to remove their breasts, testicles and penises before the age of eighteen AND without their parents consent. AND if their parents don't "affirm" their choice they are looking at up to TEN YEARS in PRISON!❗️

I KNOW these things are abhorrent to God. He clearly states it repeatedly in the Bible.

I believe in what one of Dr. Charles Stanley's (  intouch.org)  Life Principles states, "We fight our battles on our knees" ...

but not ONLY on our knees. 

We need to seriously "up our game", know our Adversary, know our Bibles and LISTEN to our Lord Jesus if we truly want things to change. ❗️

I've told you how it is and now it's up to you 🫵🏻to respond. But I caution you. 🤨☝️Jesus will hold you accountable for your actions or inactions. He has your "marching orders" that He wants to give you personally. The question is, "Are you ready to listen to what He tells you and then DO IT?"

Are Alien Abductions the Rapture of Christians?

 

"MORE PEOPLE BELIEVE in ALIENS THAN BELIEVE in GOD"

 (a basic statistic these days). So this is a topic Christians definitely need to be aware of.

When I was just nine years old I saw the movie broadcast on one of the American networks about the alien abduction of Betty and Barney Hill. They were apparently taken aboard an alien ship and experimented on. But, hey, that was just a movie, right?🤷‍♀️ Except right after the movie they interviewed the real Hills and they still had evidence on them like puncture marks and rashes from the alien instruments and devices. I became convinced this was real!

Next I went to the Public library and asked the librarian for a book about aliens. She handed me the book, "Chariots of the Gods", by Kurt Vonnegut, which states the ancient Egyptians didn’t build the pyramids but aliens from another planet did and there was evidence of this in their ancient hieroglyphics. So my next three library books were all about hieroglyphics. That taught me all about Ancient Egyptian gods (and there are oodles of them) which led to the New Age movement and then the occult. All of this I was into at the age of only 10 years old! I was obsessed with these topics and descended into a life of Fear and Darkness. A year later (at just 11 years old) I decided to escape my life by killing myself. 

But Jesus had OTHER plans.🥹☺️ On April 10th, 1978, on a Monday morning, in Vancouver, BC, Canada 🇨🇦 I surrendered my whole life to Jesus and HE rescued me from the Darkness into His Light and from Death into LIFE, and I have never turned back.

Fast forward from then to me at seventeen years old. I was in Grade 11 at Vancouver Christian Secondary School and doing my homework, which was an indepth study on the occult. I was sprawled on the living room floor with all my open books around me with the TV on in the background (the way I always did my homework). I had just finished compiling a list of the top ten effects of being involved in the occult. They included things like,

Extreme Fear

Paranoia 

Unable to keep a steady job.

Divorce

etc.

Then my attention was drawn to the TV because there was some sort of documentary going on and a woman was giving an interview and crying profusely. She was having a hard time speaking as she described how her life had been destroyed by constant fear and Paranoia. She could no longer keep a job, was recently divorced and even lost the custody of her children. EVERYTHING on my top ten list had happened to her AND every other person they interviewed. The topic of the documentary? Alien Abductions.

Now we are here and I have watched these themes stated over and over through pop culture. Anybody watch the Stargate and Stargate Atlantis TV series? Their content is straight from Kurt Vonnegut's Chariots of the Gods...and SO much more that I could spend years speaking about this stuff but I must wrap it up.

In Bible Prophecy, thousands of years old, it speaks of a future event Christians refer to as  "The Rapture". 

"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

Christians have been waiting for this event for centuries. Personally, I've been anticipating it for more than forty years. Now this event is imminent. ❣️😄

Question. 

How will the governments ever explain the disappearance of millions of Born Again Christians from around the planet?

Answer

A mass alien abduction to remove all us "lower forms" of life from hindering everybody from taking quantum leaps forward in evolution where everybody can become their own gods.

I'm not joking! This isn't Science fiction anymore. This is OPENLY admitted in Congressional meetings, media, Government policy...

So the government must believe in The Rapture too because they have their explanation all ready.

Even the Pope when asked if he would ever baptize an alien responded by saying that he believed THEY should be baptizing US because they are born without Original Sin and therefore are a "higher order" of beings than humans.

Now the 21-year-old is “detransitioning,” reverting to her original female identity. And Mary is part of a nascent movement calling for brakes to be placed on a health-care system geared to affirming a young person’s transgender feelings with drugs and surgery, allegedly in some instances after little assessment of other psychological issues.

Alarms are being sounded all over the world, and Canada seems completely deaf to it."

People, young and old, are being slaughtered by the THOUSANDS every year and children and teenagers are being systematically brainwashed to believe their "gender was assigned at birth". Then given Puberty Blockers that leave them sterilized for life BEFORE the age of TEN. Then ushered into clinics to have their breasts and penises and testicles cut off BEFORE the age of eighteen. 

WITHOUT THEIR PARENTS CONSENT!

In 1985, the year I graduated from high school, a movie called, "The Legend of Billie Jean" was released. It was basically a summer, teen rebellion Flick and a pretty "lame-O" one at that. But on the soundtrack was the song "INVINCIBLE" by Pat Benetar. It was one of her lesser known songs and wasn't on the charts very long but I felt it intensely, right down to my "gizzard" (as the Owls of G'hoole say).

It never ceases to amaze me how often I come across a "blast from my past" that is catered PERFECTLY for the here and now.

This World is in a chaotic, confusing, upside-down, evil mess and the Self-important Baby-Boomers and Self-Indulgent Gen-Xers are asleep at the wheel or just too plain cowardly to get informed and take a stand.

Fine. So be it. 🤷‍♀️ But the Young People under 35 aren't. 

(And neither am I, BTW)

So MOVE OVER, Old Fogies,🚙 and LET THE YOUNG PEOPLE DRIVE! 🚀

I'm talking to Millennials and Gen-Zs now.

Don't wait for your parents and grandparents to help.

YOU can do this. YOU were created for this time and place.

I'M NOT GOING TO KILL MYSELF, CANADA! (Deal with it)

 

In 2019, after taking a two hour nap, I woke up to suddenly discover without warning I was paralyzed from the neck down. 

Once in the hospital the testing began in earnest to unlock this medical mystery. Each discipline of medicine from Internal to Gastroenterology to Endocrinology to Psychology to Neurology (and many in between) tried to solve it. Who would be the doctor to make a name for themselves to solve the puzzle? Even the hospital administrators were watching the progress intently. After weeks of endless tests as I lay in my bed unable to move (wearing my diaper) the doctor who was coordinating it came in to speak the verdict and this what he said,

"Laura-Lee, we don't know why you're in that bed so we can't get you out. You will just have to do whatever it takes to prepare yourself emotionally and mentally to live out the remainder of your life that way."

(Not the thing you want to hear when you've just turned fifty-three years-old)

So much for ALMIGHTY Medical Science!

The amazing thing was that overnight (literally) the attitude towards me changed. No longer was I a "means to gain glory" but just a HUGE burden on society and the staff made sure I knew that's what they thought of me. Not just by their neglect but by abuse as well (which is why I am not naming the EDMONTON hospital outright).

That was then, this is now. Now we have "progressed" to MAID or Medical Assistance In Dying. All 100% paid for by our Universal Healthcare in Canada.

"Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me…"

and we will promptly administer a lethal injection so they can "die with dignity" because our economy is in ruins and they are in the way sucking up our resources and this is the easiest "path of least resistance".

At least that's the way the governments of Canada see it.

The rest of the world stands absolutely aghast and appalled at Canadians for doing nothing about it. They think we are a bunch of self-indulgent, clueless cowards. And you know what, sadly I agree.

However, even with the doctors' verdicts, God had different plans for me. I came back to my home less than 3 months later. THANK YOU, JESUS! He never gives up on us even when the rest of the world does.

I  might be home but I'm still partially paralyzed. I need to use a walker. I get a small disability pension that keeps me living well below the poverty line and I'm in chronic pain. 

BUT…my life STILL has purpose. I STILL have something valuable to contribute. And my BEST days are AHEAD of me. 

I am NEVER, EVER, EVER…EVER going to kill myself, with or without a doctor's help.

EVER!

 You are just going to have to deal with me, Canada. Me and the MILLIONS of other sick, poor and disabled Canadians who embrace LIFE.

JESUS SAID,

"I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have LIFE, and have it to the FULL.

 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. (John 10:9-11)

Jesus. A Shepherd who gives His Life for others instead of wanting them to kill themselves because they are considered a burden and a bother. WHAT A HUGE DIFFERENCE!
