A handful of years ago I was watching a sermon by Dr. Charles Stanley being broadcast around the world through In Touch Ministries from his Baptist Church in Atlanta Georgia. He was discussing prayer. One of Dr. Stanley's "30 Life Princples" is that we win our battles on our knees.
Then he added, "There is something very wrong with a Christian man who will not physically get on his knees and pray."
He said that such a man was filled with pride and needed to humble himself before Almighty God.
Then Dr. Stanley, who was in his late 70's at the time, got down on his knees before his entire congregation and the entire world (including me here in Canada ๐จ๐ฆ) and led us all in prayer.

When I was a teenager, my Home church was a small Pentecostal church with less than 100 people, but we were blessed to have THREE wonderful ministers. Through the years I often saw these men on their knees in front of us. Sometimes I would stumble upon them in their tiny offices deep in prayer ON THEIR KNEES, with their Bibles spread open before them, petitioning God for their church members.
Anybody see that going on lately ❓️
Yeah. Me neither. ๐คจ

"IF my people, which are called by my name, shall HUMBLE themselves, and PRAY, and SEEK my face, and TURN from their wicked ways;
THEN will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Dr. Stanley.
