"Ja Know", Martyn Iles and I do the SAME thing.
We both watch world events and comment on how that does, or does not, align with the Bible.
But that is where the similarity ends!
Where we are DIFFERENT is that I don't ask people to pay me THOUSANDS of Dollars to do this. I tell people about Jesus and keep them informed (to the best of my ability) for FREE❗️☺️
"In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teaching you received from us. For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example.
We were not idle when we were with you, nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it.
On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you.
We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate.
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”
We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies.
Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat."

Martyn has a Masters Law Degree, and (as he loves to brag) "worked at a top-tier Law firm" before starting the Human Rights Law Alliance (to battle for Religious Freedom in the courts). He's got more than a decade of experience as an administrator, first as the Chief of Staff then Managing Director of the Australian Christian Lobby before he became the Executive CEO at Answers in Genesis.
So why doesn't he get a REAL job instead of trying to constantly get people to GIVE him money?
Even though he was waaay more educated, waaay smarter, and waaay wiser than Martyn , Paul worked as a TENT MAKER so that he wouldn't be a financial burden on his Fellow believers. And he never asked people for money because he didn't wish to taint (even a little bit) the reputation of his Lord, Jesus.
Right now Martyn is trying to raise a bunch of money for his new Social Media "ministry". I'm on his mailing list and I just got hit up for a donation in my email Inbox. He tried to frighten me by emphasizing how confused and lost the younger generation is (and they are), but apparently, according to Martyn, the solution to their ills is him.

But if poor-folk, like me, can get by without asking for money, then rich-folk, like Martyn Iles, can too.
