While I've been offline I've prayed daily for those I knew were coming to this blog.
I am such a different person, I feel like I should actually change my name. How can I even begin to tell you what has happened to me and how God has changed me?
While everyone is looking for "fans", I would prefer to have a small handful of people that I know about. The few times I made it to the library, I came directly to this blog to check on YOU and found encouragement for MYSELF 'above and beyond' anything I ever expected.
As I've prayed for each of you, I've actually gotten glimpses ("visions" or "words of knowledge" as Christians like to call them) from Jesus of specific people who are reading this blog.
Like these ...
* There is a man who reads this blog. He drives a white van for a living and does something technical with his hands. He goes to peoples' homes and then has to either fix something or set something up once he gets there. However, he's got a progressive medical problem with his hands (either arthritis or some such type of thing) which is growing worse almost daily. He hasn't told anyone yet and is filled with anxiety that it will soon be noticed and he will lose his job. His fears are growing and consuming him because he's done this job so long and it took such specific training that he can't just get another job. It's his only livelihood for him and his family and they are depending on him. He's got children still in school who will be heading to college/university in a few short years and he has no idea how he will support his family or pay for his kids' future education. He feels so hopeless and trapped and can't think of a way out.
God knows all about your problem and is actually about to open a new door for you into an entirely new career/job and a life that you never even dreamed possible. However, you're suppose to tell your wife right away. She knows something is wrong with you, but she's imagining all sorts of horrible things. She's actually thinking that you're cheating on her and about to leave her. But she's much stronger than either of you know and is actually going to be part of the solution as well. This crisis will bring the two of you closer together in a new and deeper way. But you're suppose to tell her immediately!
You have a basic belief in God but you think of Him as far away. Watching you but not actually willing or able to get involved in any personal or practical way. But God wants you to start talking to Him directly because He has directions and solutions to give to you, as well as a lot of comfort. (Your wife has already started praying to Jesus about this, but in secret). Also, you've always thought of your wife as rather frail but she's going to show you (and herself) that she's much stronger than either of you thought. You BOTH are! And she actually holds part of the key to the solution. But tell your wife right away! Then the two of you start talking to God together as well as separately. Also, read a portion of the Bible together each day. (Even if it's only a few sentences and you don't understand it all right away).
* There's a woman in her early 30's. She works in a company where there are lots of cubicles. They are covered with a type of off-white carpeting and she does something on a computer and phone all day.(She wears a head set to talk to her clients/customers) She does her job well and actually enjoys it. Her big problem is her "boss" who is directly responsible for her area of the company. A lady in "middle management" who is making her life completely miserable and enjoys doing it.
She reads something from my blog each morning while she's still at home and having her coffee and eating her cereal. She now dreads going to work and doesn't see a way out. She's tried looking around a little bit for a new job but unemployment in her city (a large, American city) is very high, She'd have to take a pay cut and she's barely making the rent as it is now. Also, she's desperately afraid her "boss" will find out she's looking for another job and will make things even worse for her than she already does right now. She sees no way out and is growing more depressed with each passing day.
She is a big "fan" of Shakespeare and is reading from his plays. Especially his tragedies. You're suppose to cut out reading things like "Hamlet", "Romeo & Juliet" and "Macbeth" for the time being because it's currently only feeding your depression.
Jesus wants you to hang in there a little bit longer. He has plans to move your "middle-management-nightmare-boss" somewhere else and the person who takes her place will quickly notice your good work and not only will your situation improve, but you'll move "up the ladder" almost immediately upon the "boss" leaving.
The thing to remember is that "Jesus knows about you" and there is a solution around the corner. I'm suppose to share this following story with you.
A Story/Illustration from my Own Life:
When I was in grade 8 & grade 9 my dream of going to a Christian School came true, but I had one teacher who was completely "out to get me". In grade 8 I had her for 2 classes and prayed through the summer I wouldn't get her for any classes in the upcoming year.
But the following year, in grade 9, I actually got this teacher for 4 classes AND Home room. She did everything possible to humiliate and demean me in front of others. By the end of grade 9 I never opened my mouth any more - in school or out. My grades started to slip and my self-esteem plummeted as well. The fact I always got A's frustrated this teacher, so when she saw my decline it only encouraged her to go after me harder. She made attempts to embarrass me in class even more and it became so bad that many other students came to notice what she was doing. At one point they actually "Boo-ed" her and would yell out comments like "Why don't you leave Laura-Lee alone!" So I knew it wasn't just me imagining or exaggerating things in my mind. I figured it was either stay at the school and confront her in some type of official way (like trying to get her fired) or leave the school.
As grade 9 came to a close and it was time to fill out the application for the following year (near the end of March) I told my mother I didn't think I could "handle" another year in the same school with that teacher and I would have to drop out. Mom and I started desperately praying to the Lord that He would find us a solution that wouldn't involve me having to confront her. (I was emotionally in tatters by that time)
Only two weeks later the solution came. This teacher announced that she was pregnant and would not be returning to school the following year! Only God is big enough to solve a problem where everyone comes out a winner. I also must admit, I got a goodly amount of revenge and pleasure as I watched her suffer through severe morning sickness through the next 2 months! And it also meant during the last part of grade 9 she simply didn't have the stamina to "be on my case".
Take all your problems to your Heavenly Father. He has the answer; He understands; He's bigger than any problem you have and will get you through.
I will continue to pray for each person who comes to "Laura-Lee Was Here". And if you matter to me, think how much you matter to Jesus. The Bible says He has the "hairs on your head counted" and "saves your tears". (that's more than we do for ourselves!).
Also, if you have any specific prayer requests (either just for me to know or for others to share and help pray about), please send me an email at Lauraleewashere@gmail.com with the SUBJECT Heading "Prayer Request". It would be an honor to hear from you.
Signing off for the (Easter) Sunday Sabbath
Love Always, Laura-Lee
